IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (San Jose, CA)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Yarrow Facilities and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be asset tracking. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
