IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (remote)

Bright Iron Construction is a Houston contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 96 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with subcontractor invoices. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Houston. • We reply to every applicant.
