IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (remote)

Bright Fern Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Des Moines, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
