IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (remote)

Fernwood Cedar Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Nashville area, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. We invest in training. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with service installations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Nashville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
