IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (remote)

Stonegate Orchard Energy Group supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Jackson, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 12 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
