IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (remote)

Fernwood Ivory Foods is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on asset tracking for production batches, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with production batches. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
