IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (remote)

Fernwood Meadow Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Sacramento, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Sacramento. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
