IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Providence, RI)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak River Staffing and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be asset tracking. You would join a large organisation of about 839 people based in Providence. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with temp assignments. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
