IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Providence, RI)

Foxglove Timber Insurance Group provides coverage to households and businesses around Providence. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Providence. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
