IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Providence, RI)

Harborlight Junction Water Authority Group supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Providence and nearby communities. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. Crews and office staff work closely together. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • Experience with meter reading. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Providence, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
