IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Pittsburgh, PA)

Fernwood Orchard Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Pittsburgh. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Pittsburgh, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
