IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Oakland, CA)

Greenridge Birch Telecom is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on asset tracking for service installations, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 169 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with service installations. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
