IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (New Orleans, LA)

Greenridge Bright Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for New Orleans and nearby communities. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with water quality. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
