IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Kansas City, MO)

Fernwood Oak Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Kansas City, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. Independence and accuracy are our product. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with scheduling. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
