IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Houston, TX)

We are growing our team at Bright Forge Freight Group and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be asset tracking. We reward reliability. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
