IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Hartford, CT)

Fernwood Orchard Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Hartford area. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with service installations. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • We reply to every applicant.
