IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Detroit, MI)

Amberfield Mill Energy Group delivers power and gas plans across the Detroit region, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with hardship programmes. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Detroit, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
