IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Des Moines, IA)

Silverline West Environmental Services is an environmental-services company in Des Moines with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
