IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Des Moines, IA)

Fernwood Granite Manufacturing Group is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on asset tracking for customer orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with customer orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
