IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Des Moines, IA)

Northwind Construction delivers building projects for owners across the Des Moines region. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with subcontractor invoices. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
