IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Columbus, OH)

Fernwood Staffing is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on asset tracking for client orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 111 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with client orders. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
