IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Chicago, IL)

Stonegate Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Chicago. We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to take on asset tracking. We work closely with regulators and communities. What you will do • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
