IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Chicago, IL)

Cedar Beacon Manufacturing Group is a Chicago manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
