IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Silverline Juniper Civic Services Partners and adding an IT Support Specialist whose main responsibility will be asset tracking. We follow procedures carefully and explain them clearly. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with procurement. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Chicago, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
