IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Baltimore, MD)

Northwind Timber Insurance is looking for an IT Support Specialist. The job centres on asset tracking for policy renewals, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Set up, repair and retire laptops, phones and printers. What we are looking for • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. Nice to have • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. • Experience with policy renewals. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Baltimore, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
