IT Support Specialist - asset tracking (Austin, TX)

Fernwood Meridian Foods Partners produces packaged foods at its Austin plant, and we need an IT Support Specialist to lead our asset tracking. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, VPN and software problems and escalate vendor issues with clear notes. • Create and disable user accounts as people join and leave. • Write short how-to guides for problems that keep recurring. • Answer support requests by phone, chat and in person and log every ticket. • Keep an accurate asset list and patch schedule. What we are looking for • Working knowledge of Windows, macOS and Microsoft 365. • One to three years of help-desk or desktop-support experience. • A patient way with colleagues who are not technical. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • CompTIA A+ or similar certification. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
