Instructor - skills training (Des Moines, IA)

Northwind Thistle Early Learning operates neighbourhood childcare around Des Moines, and we need an Instructor to lead our skills training. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Collect feedback and improve the course each term. • Prepare materials, exercises and assessments about classroom supplies. • Track attendance and progress and follow up with those who fall behind. • Plan and teach classes to adult learners of mixed experience. • Adapt lessons to different learning speeds and backgrounds. What we are looking for • Teaching, coaching or training experience. • Comfort with slides, handouts and basic online tools. • Patient, encouraging and clear. Nice to have • Teaching credential or training certificate. • Subject experience in classroom supplies. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
