Instructor - skills training (Birmingham, AL)

Summit Haven Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Birmingham area, and we need an Instructor to lead our skills training. Families are partners. What you will do • Prepare materials, exercises and assessments about family communication. • Collect feedback and improve the course each term. • Plan and teach classes to adult learners of mixed experience. • Adapt lessons to different learning speeds and backgrounds. • Track attendance and progress and follow up with those who fall behind. What we are looking for • Comfort with slides, handouts and basic online tools. • Patient, encouraging and clear. • Teaching, coaching or training experience. Nice to have • Subject experience in family communication. • Teaching credential or training certificate. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
