Instructor - certification prep (Des Moines, IA)

Amberfield Maple Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Des Moines region. We are hiring an Instructor to take on certification prep. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Plan and teach classes to adult learners of mixed experience. • Adapt lessons to different learning speeds and backgrounds. • Prepare materials, exercises and assessments about retention. • Collect feedback and improve the course each term. • Track attendance and progress and follow up with those who fall behind. What we are looking for • Patient, encouraging and clear. • Teaching, coaching or training experience. • Comfort with slides, handouts and basic online tools. Nice to have • Subject experience in retention. • Teaching credential or training certificate. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
