Instructor - adult education (Richmond, VA)

Summit Ridge Early Learning runs childcare centres in Richmond caring for infants, toddlers and preschoolers, and we need an Instructor to lead our adult education. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan and teach classes to adult learners of mixed experience. • Adapt lessons to different learning speeds and backgrounds. • Prepare materials, exercises and assessments about classroom supplies. • Track attendance and progress and follow up with those who fall behind. • Collect feedback and improve the course each term. What we are looking for • Teaching, coaching or training experience. • Comfort with slides, handouts and basic online tools. • Patient, encouraging and clear. Nice to have • Subject experience in classroom supplies. • Teaching credential or training certificate. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
