Instructor - adult education (remote)

Fernwood Maple Learning Group is looking for an Instructor. The job centres on adult education for school calendars, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 75 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track attendance and progress and follow up with those who fall behind. • Plan and teach classes to adult learners of mixed experience. • Prepare materials, exercises and assessments about school calendars. • Collect feedback and improve the course each term. • Adapt lessons to different learning speeds and backgrounds. What we are looking for • Comfort with slides, handouts and basic online tools. • Patient, encouraging and clear. • Teaching, coaching or training experience. Nice to have • Subject experience in school calendars. • Teaching credential or training certificate. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Pittsburgh. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
