Instructor - adult education (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Harborlight West Inspection Services and adding an Instructor whose main responsibility will be adult education. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Collect feedback and improve the course each term. • Adapt lessons to different learning speeds and backgrounds. • Plan and teach classes to adult learners of mixed experience. • Prepare materials, exercises and assessments about certifications. • Track attendance and progress and follow up with those who fall behind. What we are looking for • Teaching, coaching or training experience. • Patient, encouraging and clear. • Comfort with slides, handouts and basic online tools. Nice to have • Subject experience in certifications. • Teaching credential or training certificate. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
