HR Business Partner - onboarding (Virginia Beach, VA)

Bright Mill Civic Services Group provides shared administrative services to local governments around Virginia Beach. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. You would join a small organisation of about 68 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on case files. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with case files. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Virginia Beach, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
