HR Business Partner - onboarding (San Jose, CA)

Cedar Press Group produces print and digital publications in San Jose, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. Deadlines are tight and craftsmanship matters. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on bindery work. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with bindery work. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
