HR Business Partner - onboarding (San Jose, CA)

Amberfield Arts Center is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on onboarding for event logistics, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 651 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on event logistics. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with event logistics. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in San Jose, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
