HR Business Partner - onboarding (San Antonio, TX)

Fernwood Lantern Insurance is an insurance company in San Antonio with claims and service teams. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on catastrophe response. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in San Antonio, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
