HR Business Partner - onboarding (Sacramento, CA)

Cedar Forge Arts Center runs a venue and education programmes in Sacramento. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on volunteer programmes. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with volunteer programmes. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Sacramento. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
