HR Business Partner - onboarding (Reno, NV)

Cedar Amber Insurance is an insurance company in Reno with claims and service teams. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on underwriting files. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Reno. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
