HR Business Partner - onboarding (remote)

Fernwood Umber Inspection Services provides independent inspection and testing for industry across Spokane. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. You would join a large organisation of about 389 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on certifications. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Spokane. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
