HR Business Partner - onboarding (remote)

Northwind Sparrow Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around San Jose, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on survey data. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with survey data. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, afternoons. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
