HR Business Partner - onboarding (remote)

Bright Rook Water Authority is a public water utility serving the Detroit area. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. You would join a large organisation of about 937 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on billing accounts. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with billing accounts. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
