HR Business Partner - onboarding (remote)

Fernwood Stone Transit Planning is a transit-planning firm in Anchorage working with agencies and riders, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. We like people who ride the bus and notice when things do not work. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on route schedules. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • Experience with route schedules. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Anchorage. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
