HR Business Partner - onboarding (remote)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Juniper Freight and adding an HR Business Partner whose main responsibility will be onboarding. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on claims. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Madison. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
