HR Business Partner - onboarding (remote)

Fernwood Fox Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Kansas City, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on materials orders. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Kansas City. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
