HR Business Partner - onboarding (remote)

Lumen Thistle Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Virginia Beach, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on capital projects. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Virginia Beach. • We reply to every applicant.
