HR Business Partner - onboarding (Portland, OR)

Summit Umber Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around Portland, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. We work weekends and holidays and we make it fun. What you will do • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on supplier orders. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Three or more years in HR. • Discreet, fair and direct. Nice to have • Experience with supplier orders. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Portland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
