HR Business Partner - onboarding (Oakland, CA)

Fernwood Lantern Manufacturing Group is a Oakland manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. We value people who work safely and speak up. What you will do • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on production lines. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
