HR Business Partner - onboarding (Oakland, CA)

Westbrook Umber Farms is looking for an HR Business Partner. The job centres on onboarding for harvest schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on harvest schedules. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. What we are looking for • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. Nice to have • Experience with harvest schedules. • SHRM or HRCI certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
