HR Business Partner - onboarding (New Orleans, LA)

Fernwood Quarry Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around New Orleans, and we need an HR Business Partner to lead our onboarding. You would join a small organisation of about 13 people based in New Orleans. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on outage response. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with outage response. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in New Orleans. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
