HR Business Partner - onboarding (Hartford, CT)

Westbrook Timber Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Hartford. We are hiring an HR Business Partner to take on onboarding. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Support hiring and onboarding for teams that work on catastrophe response. • Advise supervisors on attendance, performance and workplace concerns. • Keep policies and records current and compliant. • Investigate concerns fairly and document the outcome. • Handle leave, accommodation and benefits questions from start to finish. What we are looking for • Knowledge of employment law and leave rules. • Discreet, fair and direct. • Three or more years in HR. Nice to have • SHRM or HRCI certification. • Experience with catastrophe response. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
